The funeral service for John Snead Past County Captain of the UFGC, Past President of the UFGC, Past Captain of Flint Golf Club and also a Past President of NWCGA will take place at Blacon Crematorium on the 22nd of December at 10 o'clock.

It is with great regret that I post the news that John Snead a stalwart of both County Golf in Flintshire and a great supporter of golf clubs in Flintshire passed away on Friday morning the 4th of December.

John along with his wife Glenys had been actively involved in golf for over thirty years, John was Captain of Flint Golf Club in 1990,and had worked as secretary of Flint, Holywell and Pennant Park Golf Club.

Within the County John was Mr Flintshire County Captain in  the nineties and President of the Union from 2006 until 2014 within the County John was involved in Junior and Youth coaching and was also Secretary of the Union for a time.

John had also been President of the North Wales Four Counties Golf Association

A keen supporter of the County team he and Glenys very rarely if ever missed a match and he will be very much missed next season on our travels.

Our very sincere condolences to Glenys his wife and their family, as soon as I have any further information I will post it on our site.
