Scratch to Twelve Events 2025

For those who are new to Scratch to Twelve events, they are a simple medal round, over 18 holes, from white tees played at 95% of course handicap and the tee for most events is from 1pm until 5:30 pm. The only difference is for a few at the start and end of the season where we finish at 5pm due to failing light.

There are 4 prizes, Best nett, second nett, third nett and best gross.

They are available to all members of Flintshire golf union golf clubs and, due to the clubs kindly giving Flintshire courtesy of the course, the cost is only £5 per event which can be paid by card or in cash.

There is an optional birdie sweep at the cost of £1 per event.

The start sheet for the first event at Rhyl will be taken down to Rhyl Golf Club in early April and a post will be made in the Union of Flintshire Golf Clubs facebook group letting people know when it's there and who to call to get a time. 

Subsequent sheets will be available when handing in cards at the previous event, which will then be taken to the host club.

For example, the sheet for Prestatyn will be available in the Clubhouse in Rhyl from around 4:30pm on Thursday 17th April 2025. It will then be taken to Prestatyn the following day and you will need to phone Prestatyn for a time.

The sheet for Pennant Park will be available in the Clubhouse in Prestatyn from around 4:30pm on Thursday 24th April 2025. It will then be taken to Pennant Park the following day and you will need to phone Pennant Park for a time.

And so on throughout the year.
