Last night at Old Padeswood Golf Club the Annual General meeting of the Union of Flintshire Golf Clubs took place.

At the meeting Paul Cooper a Past Captain in 2005 of Old Padeswood Golf Club was made County Captain of the Union of Flintshire Golf Clubs, Martyn Scholes of Mold Golf Club became the Union's Vice-Captain and William Murfitt of Prestatyn Golf Club was made Vice-captain elect.

On behalf of the affiliated clubs in Flintshire we would like to wish all the new officials great success in 2018, and thank most sincerely our retiring County Captain Mr. Tony Godden of Northop Golf Club for all his hard work and committment during his tenure as 2017 County Captain.

Congratulations to the two clubs from Flintshire who have qualified to represent the County at the Welsh Handicap team Championships at Celtic Manor on Sunday 27th of August. The two clubs who qualified where Northop and Padeswood & Buckley. Many thanks to the thirteen teams who entered from seven different clubs from within the County, fifty two played on a great day at Abergele where the course was in great condition. Thanks to every one who played

Great news, as a result of discussions with all UFGC affiliated Golf Clubs it has been agreed that all Flintshire affiliated golf clubs will accept visitors who are members of Flintshire Golf Clubs at a guest fee, that is as if they were playing with a member of that golf club.

All such bookings must be made either online or by ringing the golf course to make a confirmed booking and proof may be requested by the golf club concerned that the individual is a member of a golf club affiliated to the UFGC.

There will be no restriction to the number of times an individual can visit an affiliated golf club, as a result the County card will be disbanded.

If you require any further information or clarification of this please contact me on any of the numbers on the website relating to the secretary.
