What a fabulous day on Friday the 1st of June when the UFGC held its Junior Championship at Mold G C. Many thanks to Mold G C for allowing courtesy of their course for this event. Over fifty juniors from Mold, Hawarden, Holywell and P&B competed in both the major competition and our mini-marvels.

Mold GC dominated the event with Harry Griffiths winning the UFGC Junior Championship.

Today Sunday the 20th of May at Denbigh Golf Club today eleven teams from Flintshire Golf Clubs competed to see which two teams would represent Flintshire on the 26th of August at Celtic Manor.

The winning team with 95 points was Padeswood & Buckley and on 92 points in second place was Holywell G C.

Congratulations to both teams who will represent Flintshire at Celtic Manor on the 26th of August, also many thanks to the DGU and Denbigh Golf Club for the courtesy of the course as a neutral venue.

On Sunday at North Wales Golf Club, Flintshire played the first match of this seasons, inter-county league, away to Caernarfonshire and recorded a fantastic seven two victory.

Leading from the morning foursomes, 2-1, Flintshire's dominance continued in the afternoons singles, winning five one to record an excellent seven two victory.
